Herbal medicine is a perfect example of this. When we are healthy, these therapeutic foods can be consumed without restriction, as in everyday dining; however, when we are sick, these medicinal foods or edible materials are traditionally restricted and utilized as drugs, with the quantity used or consumed regulated.
